$25 million in bids awarded so far for hospital
June 30, 2010
Owensboro Medical Health System has awarded $25 million of the work associated with the new hospital to area firms since early April, according to the senior project manager for Turner Construction.
A story in tomorrow’s Messenger-Inquirer will flesh out the numbers.
The hospital has begun construction on a $385 million hospital that is slated for opening in 2013. Two-thirds of the cost will be spent on construction, officials said.
The project is still in the design development stages, so a lot of work still remains to be awarded.
